If you're worried about your incoming packages, you don't have to think about opening a shopping app to track your presents for the Christmas season.

According to CNBC, Google has rolled out a new update for the Gmail app wherein you can now know when your order will arrive at the destination.

This feature will bring more convenience to millions of shoppers rushing to buy stuff for the holiday celebration. You won't need to scroll down continuously just to check for text messages.

The Gmail package delivery tracking will be available in the next few weeks. From your inbox, you will see a tiny green icon that will suggest that the store or the seller has shipped your order. It will also indicate the estimated date of its arrival from the carrier.

Aside from that, you will see more details about your ordered product, such as the name of the shipper. There are also labels that will tell you if the arrival of your package will be delayed or not.

It should be noted that you need to toggle the feature on to activate it. Of course, Google will notify you about the status updates about the Gmail feature.

If you find the pop-up too annoying on your smartphone, you will no longer enable the tracking feature. All you have to do at this point is to go to the settings to switch it off.

Gmail Retains Bottom Bar

In another story by 9to5Google, Google is reportedly reverting the bottom bar as part of the latest change. Before, the bottom bar won't be seen once you started scrolling down through your message storage.

Now, the new update retains this bar when you browse down. It will go online once again right after you go back up.

Once you tick off the "Hide bottom navigation on scroll," it will reappear in your tabs.

Google users are longing to remove some mess on the platform. To lessen the visual clutter, the company decided to remove the text labels on each tab.

At the moment, Android users should expect that it won't be available anytime soon on their smartphones. It will initially be launched on select devices with version 2022.10.02. Meanwhile, it is expected to first come out in iOS.

In other news, WhatsApp's "Communities" feature is now live on the platform. With this update, users can now easily connect with other members to start a multi-person conversation.
