Twitter updated its Blue subscription offers now, rolling out the "Official" labels which will properly identify if one is a government official or politician for a specific country, alongside the blue checkmark verification. The $8 subscription also centers on its updated inclusions for iOS users, delivering the latest offers of Twitter Blue.

However, it is exclusive and a first for iOS now, with Android and Web users not yet receiving these offers to access on their devices.

Twitter's Product Director, Esther Crawford, announced the latest changes on Twitter's offers under the Blue subscription service, one that would see several experimentations on the platform to "find the right mix."

Apart from the many upcoming changes to the platform, Twitter's government "Official" labels are also seeing a reinforced appearance on the platform now, alongside its verification and new Twitter Blue.

Crawford clarified that the "Official" labels are prioritizing government officials and commercial entities now, as users notice that it was gone from the platform.

Twitter Blue Favors the iOS; Android, Web Have to Wait

Twitter's Help Center details the many changes for the Twitter Blue subscription service, particularly its latest offers and additions to the $8 monthly subscription, now the cheapest version of its payments system.

However, some of the features are only available for iOS now, and Android or web Blue subscribers may still have the features, but not the verification blue check and its inclusions from the company.

Users would have to wait to get their blue check back or upgrade to a higher tier to enjoy the other perks from Blue, if not using the iOS app.

Twitter and Its New Direction Now

The new era of Twitter is here, with Elon Musk's focus centering on the company's offers for the public, with the earliest change being the Twitter Blue subscription for all. The $8 monthly payment to avail of Twitter Blue and the famed blue checkmark verification is now a thing for all, requiring verified users to avail of the subscription or lose their verification.

No one is exempt from the monthly subscription to retain their verification, and Musk is also a part of this, with the CEO and owner paying for the service.

However, there are several Blue subscription features that Musk wants available to the public, including the edit tweet button that was released several weeks ago for all subscribed users.

Additionally, Twitter's latest focus now is to turn the platform into a free speech-centered one, allowing all sides and opinions to proliferate on the short word social media. It is Musk's plan all along, especially with how Twitter changed over the years of its operations under Jack Dorsey, one that is guilty of transforming it into a centralized platform.

Twitter's latest features, free speech, and decentralization come with a price on Musk's tutelage over social media as Chief Twit, aiming to put the power to the people in this time. Now, verification will add Official labels to correctly identify politicians from regular personalities, with Twitter Blue's revamp also joining in, but not for Android and the web.
