Google Stadia Refunds

As per a recent report by Wired, Google has announced that its Stadia gaming platform is bidding farewell by January 18, 2023.

The shutdown of Google Stadia means that its users could no longer access their library of games by early next year.

And as such, the tech giant assured its customers that they could get their full refunds as compensation for its shutdown.

Wired notes in its report that the tech giant has decided to give away refunds as the Stadia platform required its users to spend some money on it.

And on top of that, Wired also highlighted that the 4K streaming subscription also cost its users some money.

All that said, it looks like Google is giving back the money of those who supported its cloud gaming service while it lasted.

According to a news story by XDA Developers, the renowned tech behemoth said that customers would get most of their money back when they purchased items directly from the Google Store.

How to Check Your Google Stadia Refund

Google is now reaching out to its Stadia customers via email to notify them about the refunds.

If you have several transactions, which are more than 21, the refund email would be sent in one go. It includes the details of all the transactions that have been credited back to you.

On the other hand, if you have roughly fewer than 20 transactions, you will get an email for each of your purchases.

So if you are a Stadia owner, you might want to keep tabs on your email inbox to get notified about your refunds.
