DuckDuckGo is one of the most famous anti-tracking services in the world, and it recently made its App Tracking Protection feature available on the Android OS platform under its beta version. Users in Android may now take advantage of this technology from DuckDuckGo, offering their smartphones better security and privacy from app trackers and the like.

The company also claimed that its services are more powerful compared to the native "Ask App Not to Track" features from Apple, centering on protecting the iOS and iPadOS.

DuckDuckGo announced via its latest release that the App Tracking Protection feature is now available for Android users, and the public may access this via the beta. The feature would already help in securing one's information for their discretion, disallowing other apps from tracking a user's smartphone, processes, apps, and other data they wish to keep private.

However, it has different exclusions for multiple apps, as some would only work with an app tracking feature to help with their access to its features.

Nevertheless, users may access this feature via the DuckDuckGo for Android browser, adding the latest security feature beta for all.

Better than iOS' App Tracking Protection Feature?'

DuckDuckGo's service is similar to Apple's App Tracking feature but claims to be better than this as it optimizes and does not send data to the company.

Users may access the App Tracking Protection feature under the app's More from DuckDuckGo tab, and it will install a local VPN to help determine the third-party trackers and block them. These trackers will immediately be recorded to DuckDuckGo's blocklist but assure the public that their information is secure as it does not send app data to its servers.

DuckDuckGo and its Security

DuckDuckGo rose to fame as it centered on privacy and security for users, initially centering on a web browser that aims to deliver a safe and secure experience, especially to user data. The company's first product aims to deliver an alternative to Google which is notorious for having massive trackers for its ads and other services.

Since then, DuckDuckGo banked on its promise of safety and security for all, preventing any trackers from accessing user data, along with other information stored on their browsers or computers.

The company's other features include security functions that prevent trackers from accessing data from people's e-mail inboxes, offering them a chance to protect their information from third-party trackers.

It since expanded from PCs to the mobile platform, centering on its capabilities to deliver a new and secure experience for all, matching its services to available features like Apple's iOS.

The latest DuckDuckGo feature is available on Android, giving them a powerful app to help against App Tracking, a notorious phenomenon in technology now that accesses user data even without permission. The company is taking in suggestions and notes for the feature's improvement, one that would help it optimize it for all.
