The Metaverse, in collaboration with Walker Labs, announces its new game Walker World in a new teaser trailer.
Walker Labs developed their upcoming game through Unreal Engine 5, an open-source, powerful real-time 3D creative engine that enables content developers to produce work with photorealistic visuals and immersive experiences.

A Look at Walker Labs' New Metaverse Game 'Walker World'
According to Venture Beat, Walker Labs describes its upcoming game as an open-world multiplayer third-person science-fiction zombie shooter adventure. The new game will reportedly debut in late 2023.
In Walker World, players will create their own customizable avatar, which can be used to travel in other Metaverse games. According to NFT Gators. The game will feature cross-platform interoperability, which refers to the ability for players to import these "3D animated, full-body, fully rigged characters" into other games.
The metaverse promises a brand-new virtual world and reality where individuals can choose to become better versions of themselves after entering it. Additionally, players can own and improve their Walker characters with in-game cosmetics and through buying and selling in-game goods like territories and assets.
Walker Labs co-founder Daniel Branteström further explained the team's vision with the upcoming Metaverse game.
"Our goal with Walker World is to be a market-defining, AAA-quality game and immersive experience and we are beyond thrilled to unveil the first glimpses of it." According to Branteström. "Our team is so proud of the story, the Walker characters and the world we're building. We see the metaverse as the next evolution of interoperable gaming, and Walker World takes full advantage of those possibilities."
Behind Metaverse's Growing Name in the Gaming Industry
Claiming to be the internet's successor, the metaverse aims to be a digital space where people go to hang out, share experiences, and enjoy their time together online. The Metaverse aims to achieve this by investing heavily in virtual reality to create a unique and interactive digital space similar to one of their games, VRchat.
"Walker World is on a mission to be the premier open metaverse destination, where multiple collections and brands can bring their digital identities and avatars into an immersive world, which is at the core of Walker Labs' ethos of interoperability and cross-world digital identity," said Branteström.
Several of Metaverse's gaming titles have already become big names in the industry, including Roblox, Axie Infinity, Fortnite, Horizon Worlds, and more.
Aside from gaming, Metaverse has also adopted social media sites like Facebook and Instagram, aiming to make them the actual setting for online activities like playing, working, studying, and shopping.
