Genshin Impact Trounce Domain Guide: How to Defeat Scaramouche Boss Fight

HoYoverse's Genshin Impact recently released its latest massive boss, Scaramouche, and here's how players can beat him.

With the release of Genshin's 3.2 update, players will be able to continue the Sumeru Archon quest and face the newest trounce domain to defeat the Fatui Harbinger turned artificial god, Scaramouche.

Scaramouche has many aliases, namely "Everlasting Lord of Arcane Wisdom" and "Shouki no Kami, the Prodigal". As a weekly boss, players will need to defeat him every week for essential weekly drops such as talent ascension materials.

However, considering the massive size of an artificial god, defeating him may be easier said than done. Players will need to utilize the domain's unique mechanics to deal big damage, so here's a guide on bringing down Scaramouche.

Scaramouche Domain Suggested Team Composition

Considering the domain's complex mechanics, Sportskeeda recommends bringing a ranged character to reach Scaramouche in the first phase, as his arms will be moving around and dodge your attacks. Additionally, some high mechanisms will need to be destroyed to stun him.

According to Screenrant, using elements like Pyro and Cryo is recommended, while the team can do without an Electro character as Scaramouche is completely immune to it. Consider using DPS characters such as Yoimiya, Eula, Diluc, Ganyu, and more.

Be sure to bring a trusted healer such as Kokomi, Bennett, or Qiqi, as well as a shielder like Zhongli or Diona as players will need to live through two phases of the boss fight.

How to Defeat Scaramouche Trounce Domain: Phase One

Experienced players can easily bring down Scaramouche's phase 1 if they have a DPS who can deal some big damage alongside a trusted healer or shield character, ending the phase quickly.

However, suppose your team is struggling to bring down Scaramouche quickly. In that case, players will need to utilize domain mechanics, such as the elemental matrixes in front of Scaramouche that trigger different effects.

According to Polygon, here are the corresponding effects of stepping on the matrixes on the ground:

Pyro: Removes the Cryo effect on the ground.
Cryo: Removes the Pyro effect on the ground.
Anemo: Creates an air current to help you dodge attacks.
Hydro: Continuously heals you.
Electro: Suppresses the boss. Activating both Electro Matrixes will stun the boss.

How to Defeat Scaramouche Trounce Domain: Phase Two

The second phase of the domain is where it gets tricky, as players will need to make use of the Neo Akasha Terminal while dodging attacks to deal damage later on, but fortunately, this device automatically attacks Scaramouche throughout the phase.

However, players must also collect blue energy cores around the battlefield to charge the Akasha terminal. As a tip, teleport directly toward the energy cores by zipping using the Four-Leaf Sigils above them.

Once you have picked up enough energy to power the Neo Akasha Terminal, deal big damage to Scaramouche's shield by aiming the terminal toward him.

After Scaramouche's shield breaks, four Nirvana Engines will spawn in the center, which you will need to quickly break using Cryo, Dendro, and Pyro attacks that can reach the engines above you. Otherwise, Scaramouche will launch a massive attack on the battlefield that will instantly kill your active character.

After destroying his shield completely, Scaramouche becomes paralyzed, allowing your team to zip up in front of him. This part is where you will be able to deal big damage, so be sure to maximize your team's rotation to deplete his health bar and finish the domain completely.
