When it comes to hating music, this particular YouTuber has an elaborate way of doing so. Through videos that span 30 to 50 minutes, Pat Finnerty minces all the details to explain how a certain song "stinks."

In one of his videos, Finnerty is seen cruising the streets of Philadelphia in his car, nonchalantly asking random people for their opinion about a certain Red Hot Chili Pepper song. "Thumbs up or thumbs down?" Finnerty asks a Dunkin' Donuts crew after getting his coffee.

This is just one way Finnerty gets his YouTube audience hooked on a long-form video series called "What Makes This Song Stink?" He also sometimes adds bits of interesting or funny videos for reference and some snarky banter every now and then.

Pat Finnerty is a renowned singer-guitarist in Philadelphia who joined YouTube in 2009 and has since been making interesting content about music and everything to hate about it.

But Finnerty is not full-on hating anybody. His videos also comprise of him giving informative musical analysis on popular songs. He also makes it a point to share some insightful social commentary on some of the featured songs' lyrics and commercial appeal.

The 42-year-old YouTuber also has a really interesting way of coming up with questions to ask his WMTSS guests. In one episode, when he was breaking down Weezer's "Beverly Hills," he had this cool question: "Do you think they were good, or you were young?"

According to Fast Company, in the year since releasing "What Makes This Song Stink?" Finnerty has amassed nearly 150,000 YouTube subscribers and launched a companion podcast with a rotating guest list.

In a blog post, Guitar Ramble explains that "What Makes This Song Stink" is a parody of music educator Rick Beato's "What Makes This Song Great" series, in which Beato dissects the components of songs he deems "great" in order to explain why. Finnerty's version uses his experience and musical prowess to tell people about the stench of a certain song. Take a peek at some of his videos, and you can tell he has a special knack for them.

This YouTube channel will surely be a ride for music fans, as Finnerty often demonstrates some of his points by going behind an electric guitar or a drum set.
