Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 5 likely ditches the visible display crease and offers a larger cover screen than its predecessor.

So it looks like the South Korean phone maker is now working to address the creasing issue that persisted in the last four generations of its foldable offering.

Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 5 Display Crease is Likely Bidding Farewell

As per the latest news story by GSM Arena, Samsung has yet to debut or announce its next foldable offerings. In fact, we are still several months away from its launch next year. The current Z Flip 4 recently saw the light of day last August.

But despite that, it seems that the renowned phone maker is working to make massive improvements for the next-generation clamshell foldable device.

Well, Samsung has kept mum about it. But the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Display Supply Chain Consultants, Ross Young, gave some scant details regarding the upcoming Samsung foldable.

Young claims that the next-generation Galaxy Z Flip is expected to get rid of the hideous crease in the middle of its display.

So it seems that Samsung is finally addressing the distracting display crease for its upcoming device.

The chief exec further disclosed that the Z Flip 5 features a new and improved hinge design. It should help make the invisible display crease possible.

But Young only points out that it would no longer be visible. That said, it remains to be seen if the feeling of the crease is also bidding farewell, or at least reduced.

While Samsung touts that its latest clamshell foldable phone lessens the visibility of the crease, its users could still see it. However, the next generation might change just that.

But do take this with a grain of salt. GSM Arena notes in its news story that while Young gets most of his predictions accurate, some remain to be mere rumors.

Is a Larger Cover Screen Coming to Samsung's Next Foldable?

Young went on to predict that the rumored Galaxy Z Flip 5 rocks an upgraded cover screen, according to a recent report by Screen Rant. He says that it is about to be way bigger than what its predecessors offered.

The Display Supply Chain Consultants CEO notes that the new cover display is going to be roughly 3.4 inches. It is a huge improvement from the previous 1.9 inches we saw from the Galaxy Z Flip 4.
