Charlie Brown specials usually are available on broadcast TV through PBS. But the Cupertino company has partnered with PBS for the past two years to broadcast the Peanuts special live on free TV.

In a tweet reply last September, PBS Kid tweeted, "Regretfully, PBS does not have the rights to distribute the Peanuts specials this year. We'll all have to watch for the Great Pumpkin in a different pumpkin patch this Halloween."
