PS5 Restock on Best Buy is Arriving on December 5

As per the latest news story by Mashable, one of the major retailers Best Buy is replenishing its shelves with PS5 gaming consoles on December 5, Monday.

The upcoming restock gives gamers or gift buyers a rare chance to get their hands on the Sony console at its retail pricing.

While the PS5 is quite elusive on major retailers, scalpers and resellers are offering the console for a more expensive price tag.

So if you want to save money this holiday season, you might be in luck as Best Buy is offering the PS5 to its TotalTech subscribers.

Given that, the PS5 is only available to the TotalTech subscribers of Best Buy.

The new Sony PlayStation 5 gaming console is seen for sale on the first day of its launch, at an electronics shop in Kawasaki, Kanagawa prefecture on November 12, 2020.

To be more precise, the electronics retailer is making the standard PS5 console and its PS5 Digital Edition - God of War Ragnarok bundle available.

Both offerings are at their typical retail price. So for the standard PS5, it costs $499.99. Meanwhile, the Digital Edition - God of War Ragnarok bundle sells for $599.99.

It is worth noting that while Best Buy is offering the PS5 console for its retail price tag, customers are required to pay for a TotalTech membership.

As per The Verge, the annual membership for TotalTech actually costs nearly $200 or $199.99, to be more exact. But that price already includes the chance to buy the PS5 console. It also comes with perks like free shipping and massive discounts, to name a few.

There's no word yet when other giant retailers like Amazon and Walmart are restocking the Sony console. But for now, Best Buy is offering next week -- albeit only exclusive to their paying subscribers.
