Apple TV App for Android Phones Might Be in the Works

As per the latest report by XDA Developers, the iPhone might start rolling out its Apple TV app for Android phone users in the near future. Currently, it looks like the renowned tech firm is working to make that happen, further expanding the reach of its streaming service.

It is worth noting that Android phone users could not install the Apple TV app straight from the Google Play Store. Not because of an error or bug. Apple has yet to actually release one.

So for smartphone users, you will need to have an iPhone to watch hit shows and movies on the streaming service, such as Severance, Ted Lasso, and the new Slow Horses 2. If you are eyeing to binge these titles, you may do so using an iPhone, laptop, desktop, or better yet, a smart TV.

According to a recent story by Gizmodo, Apple TV fails to support both Android phones and tablets.

But that limitation might not last long anymore. A well-known leaker, ShrimpApplePro, disclosed that the Apple TV app for Android is now in its beta stage. For now, the giant firm is internally testing it out. Given that, you still cannot install it on your Android phone via the Play Store just yet.

The Cupertino firm has yet to confirm such a new app. As such, the details about the leaked expansion of the streaming service are pretty scant. After all, it is still reportedly in internal testing.

On top of that, the Apple website notes that it is available on Amazon Fire TV and Roku streaming devices.

Besides these TV platforms, the app supports various Apple offerings, such as the iPhone, iPad, iPod Touch, Mac, and the Apple TV streaming box.
