Apple TV Plus One-Year Free Trial Ends This Month, Shortens to Three Months After

Apple's one-year free trial for its TV Plus will be shortened to three months for the brand's devices beginning on July 1.

According to a report by The Verge, the change in the duration of the free trial is stated in the Apple TV 4K product page as well as in Apple's terms and conditions.

"Eligible devices activated July 1, 2021 or later will qualify for offers of 3 months free Apple TV+," the update reads.

Those who wish to still enjoy the one-year free trial must buy their Apple device and activate it by June 30.

Apple TV Plus: What is It?

Apple TV Plus, or Apple TV+, is an ad-free subscription video on demand streaming service provided by Apple. The service can be accessed by Apple devices, smart TVs, and consoles with the Apple TV app.

Monthly subscription is available at $4.99 per month.

Some of the programs that user can stream on Apple TV Plus include "Ted Lasso," "Home Before Dark, "Stephen King's Lisey's Story," and "The Mosquito Coast."

Apple TV Plus can be used and accessed in a variety of ways. Apple devices such as the Apple TV (including the Apple TV 4K), Mac, iPhone, iPad, and iTouch are compatible with the app.

Users are not required to have an Apple device to use the streaming service. It can also be accessed via streaming devices such as Roku, Amazon Fire TV, Android TV, and Google TV.

Smart TVs from brands such as Samsung, LG, VIZIO, and Sony can also access Apple TV Plus. PlayStation consoles can also be used to stream programs on the app, along with those of Xbox.

It is likewise possible to stream online via tv.apple.com.

Important Notes For Apple TV Plus

An Apple TV Plus subscription lets the user share it with up to five family members.

Shows can be streamed anytime, anywhere and are commercial-free. Depending on the show, episodes can be released all at once or once a week, usually every Friday.

Apple Originals can also be downloaded to Apple devices for offline viewing.
