PlayStation Network Looks To Be Down for Some Players

As per the latest news story by Press Start Australia, PS5 and PS4 gamers are now reporting what looks to be a PlayStation Network outage during the Christmas holiday.

As of writing, numerous reports from players are pointing out various problems on the PlayStation Network.

These gamers took to social media and forums, asking other users if the PlayStation Network is down. If you are experiencing issues as well, it turns out that you are not alone.

A Twitter user shared an error message from the gaming platform. The pop-up says that it "can't connect to PlayStation Network." Furthermore, it suggests that the "PlayStation network might be temporarily busy."

Another post from a Twitter user reports being unable to access the game. The pop-up tells the users that it "can't connect to the server to verify your license." As such, the gamer could not "use this content."

Some users are having issues downloading or launching games. While others are seeing problems in verifying their licenses due to what seems to be an outage.

Press Start notes in its report that it is unclear what caused the Christmas connection issues. Multiple issues might be at play, such as a bulk of new PS5 owners in time for the holidays or a potential attack.
