PlayStation Plus subscribers are losing several free PlayStation 4 (PS4) and PS5 games by 2023.

So you might want to get your hands on the free titles in the Sony gaming subscription service like "Seasons After Fall" before they leave in January next year.

In a photo taken on November 12, 2020, a gamer plays on the new Sony Playstation PS5 at his home in Seoul after Sony launched the new console in select markets around the world.

But do not sweat. PlayStation Plus is looking to replace these free PS4 and PS5 games once these other offerings bid their farewell. In fact, leaks have started predicting which games are heading to the service, but more on that later.

PlayStation Plus Free PS4, PS5 Games Leaving in 2023

As per the latest report by Comicbook.com, PlayStation Plus Premium and Extra tiers are saying goodbye to ten free gaming titles as we approach the new year.

Well, these gaming titles are not actually leaving on January 1, 2023. Instead, subscribers still have until Jan. 17 to enjoy these free offerings before Sony replaces them with new ones.

However, it is worth noting that these titles might only leave the subscription service temporarily. Notable offerings sometimes get a rare second chance in PlayStation Plus, allowing users to get their hands on them once again.

But for now, these titles are leaving the roster of free games.

The games leaving PlayStation Plus include "Seasons After Fall" and "Space Hulk: Tactics." Other games bidding farewell are "Bound by Flame," "Shiness: The Lightning Kingdom," and "The Last Tinker: City of the Colors."

"Leo's Fortune," "Masters of Anima," and "Electronic Super Joy" are departing next year as well, Comicbook.com notes in its report.

Are PlayStation Essential Subscribers Affected?

PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium subscribers would now have to mark their calendars as they are bidding farewell to ten games in January.

But how about the Essential tier members?

The online news outlet notes that the Essential tier subscribers, on the other hand, are unaffected by the leaving titles. After all, they never got to access these free PS4 and PS5 games in the first place.

According to Tom's Guide, the Essential tier is the cheapest option in the subscription service. It only costs $10 monthly, but it is cheaper annually to the tune of $60 a year. And for that, its subscribers get online play and free downloadable games, which changes every month.
