Twitter has been the go-to destination for finding up-to-date scoops, speculations, leaks, and other online information, but Elon Musk claims that it is also the hub for the latest news for all. With the short-word social media's focus on free speech and allowing different topics to be the talk of the town, many users find it the only "realistic destination" online.
Not only that, but the Twitter CEO also claims that the platform's content is also one of the top news sources of the so-called "legacy media" at most times.

As sparked by a thread regarding Twitter being the top online news source now, Chief Twit weighs in on this and agrees with how users view the platform's offers in the present. The top billionaire claimed that "legacy media" only covers what Twitter has to offer, something already available on the platform.
Musk went as far as to say that these news entities are "literally writing stories based on tweets."

Users Find Twitter as a Reliable Source
Users find Twitter a reliable source for most of their online content consumption, especially with the platform's free speech initiative as introduced by Chief Twit during his early reign. According to Kim Dotcom, it is on track to becoming a "lucrative investment" as opposed to different state-owned or controlled platforms.

Censoring is a massive part of current online practices, and it is mostly focused on protecting its users from fake news or misinformation found online. However, for some, they consider this as a cover-up, as evidenced by the infamous Twitter Files that leaked all alleged malpractices of the government and different platforms.
Twitter fans claim that the platform is "4 days ahead of the news cycle" for the content they choose to cover for the public. Additionally, WallStreetSilver also said that it is the only "realistic destination" for online information.

Users go on Twitter to enjoy different content from online personalities, and some known names have used their platform to deliver the latest news and information for all to enjoy. With that, one of the reasons why Chief Twit and the company developed a feature known as "Twitter Impressions," a.k.a. tweet view count, is to provide content creators with more statistical information about their reach.
Another useful information on Twitter is the latest release of the "Cashtags $" which users may use to identify different stocks and shares of a certain company or product in the market. With the many integrations of the platform, as well as being a user's choice for proliferating news from first-hand sources or via events, hearings, and more, Twitter may certainly be an online hub for news, as claimed by Musk. However, it is important to note to always verify information found online, considering that Twitter allows free speech for all, and some may border on disinformation.
