This false content causes alarm to some social media experts.

The controversial internet celebrity and his brother, Tristan Tate, were both arrested because of human trafficking allegations.

Andrew was also accused of rape. Despite these accusations, many people still look up to them; some even share fake posts that their idols were already released from detainment.

According to The Guardian's latest report, the false Twitter and TikTok posts alarm experts because they risk the investigation's integrity.

"Having conspiracy theories proliferating which might put at risk the integrity of an investigation or the safety of those involved is unconscionable," said Imran Ahmed, the Center for Countering Digital Hate's Chief Executive.

Aside from affecting the investigation and victims, these fake posts could also lead to more conspiracies that can influence more people.

Many individuals are already convinced that the so-called "Matrix" was the main reason why the social media influencer was detained.

For those who believe that Andrew Tate was already cleared of allegations, you need to know that he is still detained.

BBC News reported that the Romania police decided to extend the detainment of Andrew Tate and Tristan Tate to 30 days.

TikTok

  1. First, click the Share button at the lower-right corner of the video.
  2. Choose the report option and select the reason why you want to report it.

Twitter

  1. First, click the three-dot option on the post.
  2. After that, scroll down and choose the "Report Tweet" button.
  3. Then, click the "Start Report" option and choose the reason why you want to report the content.

TikTok is still the most criticized social media platform because of the risk it poses.

Aside from TikTok, fake posts are also becoming more rampant on other online platforms.

Recently, fake Facebook profile pictures generated by AI alarmed many experts.
