After Apple ended support for Dark Sky Weather last week, users have to find another app that they can use to track weather conditions, temperature, air quality, and other patterns in a certain area.

Fortunately for macOS users, there's now a native app that is launched for the first time, thanks to Ventura.

With the release of Apple Weather, you can now utilize in-house features that you might have already seen from the previous app. Although third-party apps exist for a reason, it's noteworthy to check this before using some of them.

Here are some of the features you can explore for this newly-launched native Mac Weather app.

According to a report by 9to5Mac, the design of the Apple Weather app comes with a sidebar-detail layout where you can check the availability of the locations on the left part.

If you want to include a specific address on the list, use the search bar to find what you're looking for under "My Location."

It would be better if the grid could be customized so users can easily place the immediate data they want to see the next time they open the app.

Speaking of its layout, the Mac version now allows users to tweak the app layout. You can do this by tapping the icon that you will see on the top left portion of the main view.

The UI is also changeable. You can shuffle the tiles to make them more visually appealing. You can also explore map animation regarding the next precipitation in your area by tapping the map label. From here, you can see how the forecast goes for the next 12 hours.

What Weather Data Can You See Here?

Every panel has corresponding data that you can check if you want to monitor the rain or any other weather patterns throughout the day.

Here, you can see the Conditions Summary, which mainly focuses on bringing weather updates for the next 24 hours. There's also a 10-day forecast that lets you see what could likely happen in the next 10 days and what temperature changes could likely arrive at that specific week.

Other than that, you can also evaluate the air quality in your city with the help of the Air Quality Index.

This way, you can assess whether the air you're breathing is still healthy. Usually, unhealthy air begins at around the 150 mark. This is an important feature to see the intensity of the air pollution in your location.

Like other Weather apps, Apple Weather also shows the sunrise/sunset panel and the Wind and Precipitation panel.

Moreover, you can take a sneak peek at the humidity levels, visibility, and pressure movements in one place.

If you want to get alerted through this app, you can turn on the notifications on your mac device through the menu bar. You can also edit the Widgets if you like to change them.
