Google Stadia Controller Bluetooth support is finally rolling out to its users this January.

Even if a few more days are left before the gaming service shuts down, the search giant still released its last gaming title for Stadia, the "Worm Game."

SAN FRANCISCO, CALIFORNIA - MARCH 19: Google vice president and general manager Phil Harrison shows the new Stadia controller as he speaks during the GDC Game Developers Conference on March 19, 2019 in San Francisco, California.

So Stadia users are not only getting their hands on the much-awaited Bluetooth support for their controller, but they are also getting a new game to enjoy.

Google Stadia Controller Bluetooth Support

A recent news story by The Verge reports that Google confirmed that Bluetooth connection support is on its way to the Stadia Controller.

The Stadia Controller is specifically designed for the cloud gaming service of Google, which houses tons of video games that users could play on their phones, tablets, and even TVs. It connects to supported TVs and the Chromecast Ultra streaming device.

It is worth noting that the Stadia Controller initially skipped Bluetooth support. Instead, the gaming accessory only connects via a Wi-Fi connection to the Chromecast Ultra or a compatible TV.

Given that, The Verge notes that when the tech giant announced the demise of Stadia, owners of the controller started looking for means to save it from being mere e-waste.

But this time, things are about to change. Google says it is gearing up to dish out a new tool, which should finally kick off Bluetooth support for Stadia Controllers.

They would no longer have to rely on a Wi-Fi connection alone. Similar to most gaming controllers these days, they could finally start using Bluetooth. And as such, the connection would no longer be limited to Chromecast and supported TVs.

XDA Developers notes in its reports that the arrival of new connection support should allow Stadia players to use their controllers on other devices. It includes tablets, phones, PCs, along with some gaming consoles.

So even if Google promised hardware refunds for Stadia players, which is now rolling out, they could continue using their controllers. Fair enough.

Last Stadia Gaming Title: 'Worm Game'

Apart from the arrival of Bluetooth, Google also released the last gaming title for Stadia.

The Verge notes that the new offering is known as "Worm Game." The tech giant says that it is a test game that the folks behind Stadia used as they developed the cloud gaming service.

So it has been available for quite a while now. However, the developers only decided to release the game to the public days before Google kills the service this January 18.
