The fifth and latest mission of the SpaceX Falcon Heavy took place on January 15, and it released a batch of spectacular snaps of the event which took place at dusk, just as when the Sun was setting. This nighttime launch from SpaceX captured a majestic view of its recent launch with the US Space Force, with the USSF-67 mission.

The Falcon Heavy is currently the most powerful rocket in SpaceX's fleet, as the Super Heavy Booster and Starship combination is not yet fully operational for these kinds of missions.

The USSF-67 mission successfully launched to orbit and the SpaceX's Falcon Heavy, the rocket assigned to deliver it to space, already returned its boosters and rocket to its landing location. The United States Space Force commissioned the company and its massive rocket to fulfill this top-secret and classified mission.

While it is unknown what payload it delivered to the Earth's geosynchronous orbit, the mission was a success for SpaceX and the US Space Force.

Moreover, this is the second launch of the Falcon Heavy with side boosters, with its first mission being the USSF-44, also with the US Space Force.

SpaceX's Twitter page provided different updates to the public on this recent mission, from launch to the landing of its boosters and the rocket itself

The space company also released shots of the launch from afar, showing the spectacular looks of the rocket in action, as it propels the payload to orbit.

SpaceX and the Falcon Heavy

Back in 2018, the SpaceX first launched the Falcon Heavy which made headlines and massive waves in the commercial space industry because of its capability to deliver massive payloads and reach further lengths.

With this launch, there were colossal doors that were opened for the company for future missions of the spacecraft, along with industry partners like NASA and the US Space Force.

The company's rocket already secured a future launch for a deep space mission to launch the NASA Roman Telescope in 2026. This mission would have the Falcon Heavy delivering this spacecraft that would study the dark matter in space, as well as exoplanets that are yet to be discovered by astronomers with the telescope.

Despite having massive gaps in its launches unlike its smaller and less powerful brother, the Falcon 9, SpaceX still has significant plans for the Falcon Heavy in the future. It will soon deliver important and heavier payloads soon for its partners, to fulfill the missions that SpaceX's other rockets may not achieve or deliver, like its recent client, the US Space Force, with the latest USSF-67 mission.
