Sony finally delivers the latest Android 13 update to Xperia 10 IV smartphones to Southeast Asia region users, and here's what to expect.

It is about time that Sony joined the competition and updated its smartphone lines with the most recent Android version in Southeast Asia regions. Since its gradual release in 2022, numerous smartphone manufacturers have been releasing Android 13 software updates to their smartphones.

According to XDA-Developers, Sony has finally released the Android 13 update to the Sony Xperia 10 IV, the latest device to receive from the Sony smartphone line. The Xperia 5 IV, 1 III, 5III, and Pro-I are some of the company's first smartphones to get the Android 13 firmware upgrade.

Sony Xperia 10 IV Android 13 Update

Along with the Android security updates for December 2022, Android 13 for the Xperia 10 IV from Sony includes all the new features Google added with the platform upgrade. Unfortunately, Greenbot reports that the update has only been made available to people in Southeast Asia. It can take a few days or weeks for Xperia 10 IV owners in other territories to receive the Android 13 build for their devices.

Users should soon receive an OTA notification for the stable Android 13 release if they own the Xperia 10 IV model stated above. To prevent any problems, make sure to back up your data as soon as you receive the message and charge your phone to at least 60% before installing the update.
