The first AI lawyer in real court has been canceled by DoNotPay.

The artificial intelligence company recently made a huge announcement, saying that its AI will play the role of a lawyer in an in-person ticket hearing.

DoNotPay was supposed to attend the court hearing in February, as reported by Gizmodo.

But, CEO Joshua Browder declined to disclose the exact courtroom and other details to protect the defendant's privacy.

Now, he suddenly postponed their court case. Here's why.

Joshua said that he realized that divorce agreements, defamation demand letters, and other non-consumer rights legal products are just distractions.

The CEO added that these would be completely removed from DoNotPay immediately so that they could focus on consumer rights.
