Meta's latest virtual reality headset is the Quest Pro launched last year, and it is the so-called "Project Cambria," the modern generation wearable from the company. The company's CEO, Mark Zuckerberg, said that this is the most advanced version of the VR device lineup under Quest, now seeing a massive discount of up to $400.

People may think that this price is still hefty for a VR device, as other companies are offering it for a cheaper price, but this is Meta's latest development for the virtual space.

Meta's listing via Amazon shows a surprising price slash on its latest VR headset, the Quest Pro, and it is a surprising reduction on the company's end as no known sale events are happening now. It is at its lowest price since the launch, which retailed at $1,499.99, one of the most expensive VR releases from the company.

There are unknown reasons why the Meta Quest Pro sees a discount now, available for only $1,099.99 via Amazon.

However, it is a good opportunity for interested buyers to take advantage of this sale, as it could save them $400 for purchasing it now.

Is It Worth it to Buy the Meta Quest Pro?

Meta teased an upcoming and unnamed VR device this 2023, and this could be one of the reasons why it is offering the Quest Pro at a discounted price. However, like its previous release, Meta is keeping the next-gen headset in secret, and no information is still available.

According to Engadget, comparing the Quest Pro to the Quest 2 shows a massive difference, and one of the reasons is the latest chipset paired with the Snapdragon XR2+. It gives 50 percent better power compared to the Quest 2, and it is one worthy VR accompaniment to one's needs.

Meta and its VR Developments

Meta's VR developments center on the many products available from the company, and it centers on its Oculus devices before it rebranded as the Meta Quest. After two VR headsets from Oculus, the company's third take on the wearable centers on the "professional" grade devices which Zuckerberg first teased via the Joe Rogan Podcast

There were massive rumors and speculations about this new device, and it was codenamed "Project Cambria," which the Meta CEO first revealed to the public. This specific revelation was first covered in video blurs, to keep it secret from the public eyes, but claims that it is better than the first two devices from Oculus.

Months later, the latest VR from the company arrived, and it centers on a Pro device that claims to be the best among its releases, to focus on a next-level headset. Now, this controversial wearable is available with a $400 discount on its price tag, a tad more affordable for the public but still an expensive $1,100 VR.
