OnePlus 9 and 9 Pro users have experienced using the OxygenOs 13 in its first stable build back on November 22, 2022. The added upgrades focus on solving security systems and bug fixes of the said smartphone model.

It seems that the update turns out to be smooth sailing, according to the company. However, the new release of the operating system might force other users to stop the upgrade.

OnePlus 9 Users Shouldn't Upgrade to OxygenOS 13: Here's Why

According to a report by XDA Developers on Tuesday, Jan. 31, the January 2023 patches for the OnePlus 9 and the OnePlus 9 pro tackle a few fixes for bugs.

While it's important to address this concern, some users discover that OnePlus has not come up with a solution to avoid device booting after the update.

According to a recent post in a community forum, the smartphone maker confirms that it has halted the rollout of the update to select models.

If ever you receive an update prompt for OxygenOS 13, then it's better to stop the upgrade as soon as possible temporarily. That is because OnePlus has not yet fully addressed the problem.

If you encounter a bug during the installation process of the update, it's recommended to go to the OnePlus service center to seek help.

According to the company, it could downgrade the current version of the OnePlus OS to the original state without compromising any files on the smartphone.

Again, we advised you to refrain from installing the newest OxygenOS 13 update on your OnePlus 9 or 9 Pro until the company announces its fix. It will take a few days or weeks to arrive at a solution.
