It can be recalled that Microsoft has invested in OpenAI, the company behind ChatGPT. Now, the company is working to integrate Chatbot's services into its products.

ChatGPT for Bing

According to the student's post, Bing's search engine page will stay, but users can pull up an AI-powered search engine by clicking on the chat option that can be found below the search box.

Moreover, a new interface that looks similar to ChatGPT prompts users to ask complex questions, get better answers or get creative inspiration. It also has a disclaimer that warns users that the search engine powered by AI can make mistakes. Thus, users are encouraged to share feedback with Microsoft to improve the service.

On this note, Microsoft wants users to use a ChatGPT-powered Bing as a research assistant, creative partner, and personal planner. Hence, instead of typing a search query with the correct keywords, users have a thousand characters to explain what they're looking for to the new Bing.

The AI will do several searches on the users' behalf and reply with a compilation of search results in summary. In addition, the tool will also provide references to phrases in its response, which will allow users to counter-check the information.

The student said that the feature-loaded automatically on the homepage but also vanished quickly. However, he was able to capture some screenshots.

A few other users also experienced the feature and shared them on social media

A Game-Changer for Bing

It remains unclear when the search engine will go live. And if it does go live, this will be Microsoft's long-awaited leg up in the search engine department, as Bing has been stuck in Google's shadow for a long time.

With the chatbot functionality, it could be a game-changer for Bing soon. Microsoft has yet to officially confirm the feature and its plans for the search engine, but the screenshots have generated a lot of buzzes. It will be interesting to see how Microsoft will leverage its new technology to compete with Google in the search engine market.

Microsoft has been working hard to improve its search engine, and this new feature could be a major step forward. It is expected that the Chatbot will provide more accurate results than other search engines. This technology would also make Bing more user-friendly as users can interact with the bot for their queries instead of typing them out manually.

Moreover, Microsoft may add some additional features, such as voice recognition capabilities or integration with AI-powered tools, which can further enhance the user experience when searching on Bing. This could give an edge over Google by providing better and faster solutions tailored specifically for each query made through Bing's search engine platform.

It remains unclear how long until we see these changes implemented, but one thing is certain; if successful, Microsoft's new Chatbot-powered Search Engine could revolutionize web searches.
