According to Bloomberg, Coupang is now turning its misfortunes into better opportunities ahead, and this is through focusing on robot developments that could help save the company from possible collapse. Its once-doomed facility expansion projects are now turned into autonomous facilities that can sort and transport packages faster than before.

Analysts have projected that the company may soon break the barriers that held them down for a long time, turning a profit for the second quarter.

The company suffered from bad investments in its distribution facilities before, but this gets automation upgrades that center on AI-powered robots to do humans' work. The company's latest fulfillment facility in Daegu leads its efforts toward machine-powered warehouses.

E-Commerce Turned Robot Company: Machines Rise

According to Korea JoongAng Daily's report, robots have already helped reduce 65 percent of the human workload in its Daegu facility, projecting good numbers to help its flailing profits.

One of its robotic setups in the plant centers on AGVs, or autonomous guided vehicles, which can carry up to 1,000 kilograms and are designed to avoid collisions or problems with its operations via AI.

The company also aims to go public to further support its robot automation program for its facilities.

Robots in the Modern Day Industries

Stories about robots replacing people in their jobs are common at this time. There are significant developments from different tech companies that aim to deliver these machines to aid the workforce. Not all companies who market their robots aim to be a human replacement, as some center on assisting employees with the hard and straining work.

There is a bot called "Sarcos," and it aims to help the United States Navy safely defuse bombs and mines without the need for human intervention.

This helping hand is one example of how robots may assist people on their jobs and get them as far away as possible to harm and injuries that await.

Whether people like it or not, the world's machine use is progressing, and there are significant presences already in different industries present in the world. The likes of Coupang may only be starting to offer their robotic developments to save their company, but its offers to assist workers in significant tasks may help to further grow in the industry.
