Cybersecurity experts stated that watching illegal Super Bowl livestreams has consequences.

"People are still gravitating toward them because they're convenient and usually free (or very cheap)," explained VPNOverview enthusiast, Djordje Djordjevic.

Illegal livestreams are tempting because they are convenient and free to access. However, every time you visit these websites, people behind them illegally profit from you.

One of their methods to generate revenue is by selling your IP address to hackers and other cybercriminals.

If a website asks for your email address, payment information, and other sensitive information, then there's a chance it is linked to hackers.

Aside from data theft, illegal streaming websites can also install malware, trackers, and other viruses into your device without you even knowing it.
