The software giant recently announced that its Microsoft Bing search has been integrated with the popular AI chatbot, ChatGPT. 

But, ChatGPT is not the only AI enhancement that Bing received. The tech firm also said that the new Microsoft Prometheus model was also integrated into the search engine. 

Now, Microsoft is also planning to enhance its Office tools using the Prometheus model.

According to The Verge's latest report, Microsoft is pushing hard on the ongoing AI race by demoing the Prometheus model in Word, Outlook, and Powerpoint.

Recently, people familiar with Microsoft's works claimed that the tech giant firm already tested GPT models in Outlook. 

Aside from Outlook, experts said also said that the Prometheus model is already available in Office tools that rely on Microsoft Bing's sidebar. 

On the other hand, Microsoft PowerPoint is expected to have new AI features that can generate graphs and graphics more efficiently. 

As of press time, Microsoft is moving quickly with its artificial intelligence innovations because Google is also enhancing its efforts. 

Previously, Google launched its own AI chatbot called Bard. Right now, Google and Microsoft are the two big tech firms that are making huge headlines in the ongoing AI race.

What is Prometheus? 

Via its official blog post, Microsoft explained that the new Prometheus model is its new propriety tech that enables the company to fully take advantage of OpenAI's innovations. 

"We call this collection of capabilities and techniques the Prometheus model," said the software giant. This means that the Prometheus model depends on the efficiency of OpenAI's technologies. 

Microsoft added that it gives users more timely, relevant, and targeted results while ensuring their online safety.

In other news, Microsoft's Skype decided to work on native support for Apple Silicon Macs. 

Meanwhile, a new Microsoft Edge version, in partnership with Project Phoenix, is being developed.
