In case you missed it, there was an Apple event that took place earlier, but do not worry as the rest of the general public also missed it, as it was an employee-exclusive event only. However, there are now reports of what was revealed in this closed-door affair from Apple, which reports dub as the "WWDC for AI," one that centers on its artificial intelligence ventures.

There is a massive presence of AI among Apple's services, but not all are explicitly boasting of its capabilities, with only Siri being the one with the tech that is widely known to the public.

According to Bloomberg's Power On Newsletter from Mark Gurman, the Cupertino company recently held an exclusive event for everyone under Apple only, including its employees and staff. The goal was to bring information to everyone affiliated with the company to learn more about the actions and ventures it has with artificial intelligence.

As per Gurman's report, Apple's AI chief told the attendees that its ventures towards AI and "machine learning is moving faster than ever" and what it brings to the public is "truly at the forefront."

Apple also centered on what the company did not do with its AI development, especially debunking the rumors of an Apple-made ChatGPT or Bing competitor, as per rumors in the industry.

What Happened at the Apple Employee-Exclusive Event?

According to 9to5 Mac, the event was held in the Steve Jobs Theater in person, along with Apple's workforce and executives present here. It talked about the many ventures of the company towards AI, as well as the roadmaps and updates to current or future projects which are under development, to soon release to the world.

There was not much revealed in this event, with speculations saying that it is saving the best for the upcoming WWDC by June.

Apple's Events and Announcements

Apple seems to be foregoing many events on its lineup, especially in the past months when it directed its releases to press or news releases instead of collecting them and launching them in one event like in the past.

The MacBook Pro had an M2 release in 2022, where the 13-inch version was upgraded with the latest Silicon processor for Apple, and the company unveiled this via a press release only.

Additionally, the MacBook Pro 14-inch and 16-inch unveiled earlier this year featuring the M2 Max and M2 Ultra, was also unveiled via an Apple Newsroom release to highlight the new technology.

Do not worry, as Apple still has these events like the annual March showcase which is expected this year, as well as the WWDC, and Spring events to hold another tech.

For now, Apple relies heavily on press releases to deliver its latest technology and the recent secret event was for employees only. It sparks conversations that the Cupertino giant is no longer holding events, but there is more to expect from the company soon, with this WWDC for AI centering on its ventures and re-evaluating itself internally.
