The first Samsung Galaxy S23 software update is now being rolled out, as claimed by those who spotted the enhancement.

This is a big deal for users since the Galaxy S23 is the latest smartphone product of the electronics corporation. 

But, if you compare it to other software updates of the Samsung smartphones, it doesn't offer advanced features. 

Here are the major details for those interested to know the enhancements included in the first Galaxy S23 software update.

According to GSM Arena's latest report, the first Samsung Galaxy S23 software update includes 48 security enhancements already available in Android 13.

Seven security features from the Samsung One UI are also included. Users across Europe first spotted the software update. 

However, the software update was only seen in the unlocked Samsung Galaxy 23 versions. As of writing, the smartphone maker hasn't confirmed when it will globally launch the software enhancement. 

Some rumors claimed it would roll out to other markets in the coming days but haven't provided an estimated release date.

How to Update Galaxy S23? 

Verizon reported that you will receive a message if a software update on your Samsung Galaxy S23 is available. 

But, a notification will only be sent if your device is connected to the internet. If ever you receive the message, here's what you need to do: 

  1. First, click the Install Now option. This will restart your device. 
  2. You can also manually update your device. First, you need to visit your Home tab. 
  3. After that, go to Applications and click the Settings option. 
  4. Then, go to About Device and click the Software updates. 

If you want to retain your current software version, all you need to do is click the Defer option. 

But you need to remember that this notification will appear from time to time, especially since the update includes essential security enhancements.  

Aside from the first Galaxy S23 software update, Samsung is also busy with other new products. 

Previously, the new Samsung One UI 5.1 was finally rolled out to older Galaxy smartphones.
