Swedish music streaming firm Spotify is currently testing its latest feature that will benefit NFT holders.

It's been an old promise of the company to launch token-enabled music playlists for the members of the crypto communities. Now, it's happening for real this time.

Spotify is running an early test for its toke-enabled music playlists that can only be accessed by members of NFT communities.

According to a report by TechCrunch, a new service dubbed "token-enabled playlists" is now making huge waves across the NFT-based groups.

Kingship, a known band in the metaverse, has disclosed that Spotify is already piloting an early test to see how the exclusive playlists will run for select communities.

More importantly, it's all about giving NFT holders an exclusive perk that we can't see from any other music streaming apps.

"We, KINGSHIP strive to ALWAYS be at the forefront of technology and music. Now, we're taking this commitment a step further by launching a brand new token-enabled playlist with @Spotify!" the band posted on Twitter.

Over the next three months, token holders who belong to Overlord, Kingship, Moonbirds, and Fluf communities can unlock the curated playlists they want to play.

Since this is an exclusive test for some NFT holders, the pass for the test will only be given via a unique link.

According to Spotify's spokesperson, the company aims to improve the user experience for every person who is using the app. While some tests only leave some lessons to the organization, others are useful enough to open more doors for development.

Who Can Access the NFT Playlist Pilot at the Moment?

According to another story by Coindesk, Overlord has recently posted that Web3 users can now connect to Spotify so they could access the "Invasion" playlist.

Of course, you have to be a member of the Overlord community to explore this feature. You should also be a token holder of the Creepz NFT Project to make this happen.

Additionally, Overlord adds that the Spotify pilot is not yet available globally. Only Android users based in the US, the UK, Germany, New Zealand, and Australia are the ones to have access to it.

When asked about Spotify's plans to bring the feature to other users, the company's representative declined to comment.

Could we see Spotify HiFi in 2023?

Spotify first announced in 2021 that HiFi might be coming in the next few years. Two years later, the feature has not yet arrived and fans thought that it won't be coming anytime soon.

According to The Verge, with Spotify HiFi, listeners who want to enjoy lossless audio quality can take advantage of this subscription.

Unfortunately, it appears that the update is not yet destined to be released this year. A few reputable sources claimed that Spotify has not yet mummed any word about it up to this day.
