Artificial intelligence is the top technology in the present as it presents people with a system that features machine and deep learning, as well as a mind of its own. One of the most famous AIs in the present is from OpenAI, particularly with ChatGPT whose tech gives people a new form of content generation and experience that may be overwhelming to use or even try to understand.

However, despite the intimidating presence of ChatGPT, people will still find a way to adapt to everything presented to them, even with the arrival of this high-tech AI system on the web.

Adapting to ChatGPT May be Hard, But It is Not Impossible

According to Louis Pryke, an Honorary Research Associate from the University of Sydney, via an article posted on The Conversation, humans are used to adapting to new or modern technology as time exhibited in the past.

However, it does not mean that people may be inherently welcome to what it brings, as it could change many of their daily operations, tasks, or setups, especially with artificial intelligence, and the leading tech now, ChatGPT.

"While ChatGPT threatens to change writing (and writing-related work) as we know it, the Mesopotamians, who lived 4,000 years ago (in a geographical area centred in modern-day Iraq), went through this kind of seismic change before us. Their civilisation is credited with the invention of writing," said Pryke.

Adapting to change is hard, especially with systems like ChatGPT renewing what people know of writing, but it is not impossible to accept or welcome these, in the years to come.

ChatGPT is Like the Mesopotamian Writing Development

The writer related this change to the Mesopotamian era, which was the first to develop writing, and first embedded their words and sentences in stone.

At first, some people do not welcome writing and would prefer conversations or passing along information through word of mouth, as not all are adept at writing or speaking.

This is similar to what ChatGPT brings, especially as people are not used to AI systems like this one in their daily use of technology.

AI and How it Advances the World

People who first learn about how artificial intelligence works may be threatened or intimidated by what it brings to everyone, especially on how advanced it is and knowledgeable of many things. There are many fears as to AI-powered robots replacing humans in their jobs, and there are experts who believe that these machines will also do domestic chores for homeowners in the future.

OpenAI brought the world one of the most powerful technologies in the present, and since then, ChatGPT was a hit among the public.

There is a possibility that ChatGPT-powered assistants will see a debut in the future, across different platforms or experiences, where it may also be applicable for voice assistants to help with device usage.

Despite its advancements and massive use in the tech industry, there are still a handful of people who have not adjusted to or accepted what the AI revolution brought to the world.

One of the leading AIs in existence is ChatGPT, and reports believe that while it may be hard to keep up in the present, humans will adapt and soon use these systems normally, like how they adapted to writing in the early days.
