Sundar Pichai, Senior Vice President of Android, Chrome and Apps for Google, speaks at a media event at Dogpatch Studios on July 24, 2013 in San Francisco, California. Google on Wednesday unveiled a slim, powerful new Nexus tablet computer and a thumb-drive sized device that lets popular mobile gadgets feed online content to television sets.

The newly-improved feature can increase text, image, and video sizes. Packed with interactive controls that can be seen on mobile web pages, the improved zoom feature can reach up to 300 percent without changing the original formatting.

Access It Through the Chrome Beta

The feature isn't available to all Chrome users, but it can be downloaded using the Chrome beta on a phone or table.

Once done, users need to enable the feature by tapping the three dots icon in the top right corner of the browser, clicking Settings then on to Accessibility. Here, users can adjust the zoom level based on their preferences.

The preference will be saved for the sites users browse and bypass the ones that try to block zoom features. It can be recalled that the search engine giant only lets users adjust text scaling up to 200 percent.

More Updates to Come

Besides this new zoom feature, Google will introduce new updates, such as a new freehand annotation feature for Android and Google Driver.

It will allow users to use their finger or stylus to write on top of PDFs or highlight important text. The feature will also enable users to hide, undo, delete, or save a copy of the PDF with the annotations.

Google will also bring noise cancellation to Meet to more Android devices, along with new spring and basketball-themed emoji combinations to Gboards Emoji Kitchen.

Google is also looking to add more accessibility features, such as Live Captions, allowing users to read a transcript of their meeting in real time.

Finally, Google is adding more security features for their Meet users, such as the ability to lock a meeting, which will prevent any non-invited users from entering.

Overall, these new updates should make it easier for users to connect through Google Meet while also keeping their conversations secure and accessible.

The Chrome Beta

Google is also testing a new version of their Chrome browser called the Chrome Beta. This browser version includes several new features, such as improved compatibility with websites and improved performance. Additionally, the Chrome Beta will include a number of security enhancements, such as stronger encryption and improved authentication. By testing the Chrome Beta, users can experience all of the new features and security improvements before they are available in the stable version of the browser.
