Nintendo Switch Online's Game Boy Advance library is finally expanding, gaining a new title this March.

The Japanese gaming giant confirmed that Switch Online is adding a new Game Boy Advance title, none other than "Metroid Fusion."

Nintendo Switch Online Game Boy Advance Expansion

Nintendo started adding Game Boy and Game Boy Advance gaming titles to its Switch Online subscription service last February, as per a report by Engadget. It includes iconic titles like "The Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening DX" and "Super Mario Land 2: 6 Golden Coins."

When these titles arrived on Switch Online, Nintendo teased that it plans to add more Game Boy offerings later on. The gaming firm confirmed that several Zelda games are on their way to the service. The "Pokémon Trading Card Game" and "Metroid Fusion" are also arriving soon.

This time, the Switch maker has finally announced the release date of "Metroid Fusion" on the Game Boy Advance library of the subscription service.

The first-ever expansion of the Game Boy offerings on Switch Online is happening this March 8, which is less than a week from now.

According to Nintendo Life, "Metroid Fusion" first saw the light of day two decades ago, as it debuted on the Game Boy Advance way back in 2002.

'Metroid Fusion' Lands on Switch Online

The Verge notes in its report that the upcoming arrival of "Metroid Fusion" is somewhat notable as Switch Online will then include all of the 2D Metroid games.

Nintendo Switch console users can start playing games like "Metroid Dread" and "Metroid Fusion" via its subscription service. Beginning March 8, Switch Online members can finally start getting their hands on the latter.

Game Boy and Game Boy Advance Games on Switch Online

Besides "Metroid Fusion," Switch Online + Expansion Pack subscribers can also play games like "Kuru Kuru Kururin," "Wario Land 3," and "The Legend of Zelda: The Minish Cap."

On top of that, the paid service also offers Game Boy titles like "Gargoyle's Quest," Metroid II: Return of Samus," and "Alone in the Dark: The New Nightmare."

As for the Game Boy Advance offerings, Switch Online brings iconic titles like "WarioWare Inc: Mega Microgames," "Mario Kart Super Circuit," and "Mario & Luigi Superstar Saga."

Although the gaming service now offers several Game Boy and Game Boy Advance titles, Nintendo vows to further expand eventually. That said, the arrival of "Metroid Fusion" next week is only the beginning.
