It may be unknown to many, but there is a game by Mundfish which aims to depict an alternate reality in the early 1950s where Russia persevered after World War II called "Atomic Heart."

According to the game's synopsis, "Atomic Heart is an adventure role-playing action game with a closed world, which takes place in an alternative Soviet Union of 1955. Science, equality and fraternity are the main symbols of Freedom in this reality. "

Ukraine's Vice Prime Minister and Minister of Digital Transformation, Mikhail Fedorov, went to Twitter to air his and his country's concerns about the game, claiming it is a "new level" of digital Russian propaganda.

He is calling for the game's ban on different platforms, including Sony's PlayStations 4 and 5, Microsoft's Xbox, PC platforms, and Steam.

There are formal letters from the Ukrainian government, penned by Fedorov, addressed to each company for its removal of the game.

Did Mundfish Bring Russian Propaganda on 'Atomic Heart'

Mundfish developed a game looking at an alternate reality about the Soviet Union's progress after World War II, and it is bound to raise eyebrows, despite being a work of fiction and a creative take on the past. It brings Russia to a brighter light where it succeeded, says critics that claim it is presenting propaganda.

It comes off as a disrespect to Ukraine now, especially as it is struggling daily against the many attacks launched at the, with claims that this supports Russia's communism and its "bloody regime."

Ukraine and Russia Conflict

In early 2022, the world was surprised by the heightened tension between Russia and Ukraine, where significant attacks were thrown against Kyiv by Moscow, and is still an ongoing conflict in the present. Many world entities got involved in this fight, and it includes the United States to step in and help Ukraine through its different agencies and nonprofits.

Because of the Russian aggression against Ukraine, different companies also stepped up to provide their services to Ukrainians, especially with getting updates and information, widely available on the internet.

While different companies suspended their operations and availability in Russia to limit their reach and power, others centered on setting up online charity drives to give funds to Ukrainians affected by this conflict.

The world feels for Ukraine in its struggles in the past year, and of course in the present, as it is still an ongoing nightmare for the country against the Russian aggressors who continue their relentless forces. This is only a natural reaction for Ukraine to stop any form of Russian propaganda appearing in the online media, as well as the gaming industry, with the latest game "Atomic Heart."
