"COD: Modern Warfare 2" is now confirmed to receive Shredder as its first skin in its latest Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles update.

This detail was confirmed by Activision and Infinity Ward via their official Twitter post. "A new evil will rise," they announced in their latest Twitter announcement.

As of writing, the video they posted already generated over 100,000 views. Meanwhile, the tweet has more than 4,000 likes and 400 retweets.

In the comment section, many fans shared their excitement. One of them said that the new Shredder skin is "so clean." If you are also among the "Modern Warfare 2" fans, here's what you need to know about this new skin.

'COD: Modern Warfare 2' New Shredder Skin Confirmed!

According to Comic Book's latest report, the Twitter announcement didn't confirm that the new skin is Shredder.

The video actually shows all the things you can see in Shredder, including the iconic silhouette, the two-toe slipper, and curved hand blades. Aside from these, the three-bladed helmet of Shredder is also featured in the footage.

Aside from the video, Activision also used emojis that represent Shredder; the ninja, and sword emojis.

All these details are enough to confirm that the new skin would be Shredder. At the end of the video, Activision shows the date Mar. 21, 2023; which is clearly the release date of this new cosmetic.

As of writing, there's no update yet if the "Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2" will also have the four ninja turtles. But, since the collaboration is with TMNT, then you will definitely hear more announcements from Activision and Infinity Ward sooner or later.

Other 'Modern Warfare 2' Updates

Aside from the new TMNT skins, "COD: Modern Warfare 2" is also expected to receive exciting updates in the upcoming Season 2 Reloaded. 

These include a new standard 6v6 map, where gamers can fight against each other at a snowy mountainside resort. 

New game modes are also expected to be released once Season 2 Reloaded arrives. These include "All or Nothing," "Drop Zone," "One in Chamber," etc. 

Aside from these new game modes, Activision will also release a brand-new Rair episode for players to enjoy.
