The remake version of "Soulcalibur," a popular weapon-based video game title made by Bandai, might be just around the corner for Xbox Game Pass, an insider reveals.

Microsoft's gaming platform has tons of video games that users can explore in the library. It's been praised by many for consistently launching the best titles from different franchises.

Xbox Game Pass is not only limited to Bandai since we can also play game titles from other publishers including Capcom and Sega.

Game inside Shpeshal Nick recently shares that the "Soulcalibur" franchise might be currently working to release a remastered version of the game for Xbox Game Pass.

When Sega Dreamcast first came out in Japan in 1998, the best fighting game that we can ever think of was the first version of "Soulcalibur."

For hardcore fighting game fans, it's been a long dream to port this title to other consoles such as Xbox Series X and PS5.

According to Gamerant, "Soulcalibur 2" landed on the very same Xbox console where gamers can play as Spawn.

The following release, "Soulcalibur 4" became available for next-gen Xbox consoles as part of the Xbox 360's HD port.

Somehow, this interesting series of events appear to show no signs of stopping since the game franchise can appear on Xbox Game Pass, according to Shpeshal Nick, a known game insider.

Is it a 'Soulcalibur' Remake or Collection?

During The Xbox Era podcast, Nick shares that a lot of people want to see a "good remaster" for the "Soulcalibur" franchise.

Nick did not specify where he got the information, but he's certain that it's still unclear whether we are getting just the "Soulcalibur" collection or a remastered/remake version of the first "Soulcalibur" game.

Furthermore, the insider admits that he's also not sure if the game is still under development or if Bandai Namco is handling the matter for the franchise.

Rest assured, Xbox Game Pass is getting new games for this month and who knows it will be a "Soulcalibur" surprise for everyone.

Since this is just a rumor, it's better to take what Nick said with a grain of salt so you won't get disappointed in the end if ever it does not come to Xbox Game Pass.

Somehow, Bandai Namco has been doing great in publishing some of the best fighting games of this generation including the "Tekken" and "Dragon Ball" titles.

Speaking of "Tekken," the newest "Tekken 8" installment is teased to be launched by 2024. The story will focus on the Mishima feud, particularly about Jin Kazama and Kazuya Mishima.
