AI content generators are advanced now, but previous versions messed up in some ways by bringing inaccuracies to several images. However, in this latest version of the Midjourney AI, particularly the latest version 5, it appears to be more advanced than ever, and it delivers a realistic image of a person made entirely from text prompts.

Reports believe that this advancement in AI content generation may signal the death of several practices in the field, including photography, which would need a process to get these kinds of images that AI can do in seconds.

Nick St. Pierre, a Twitter-verified AI tester and content creator, shared the latest image generations he made using Midjourney AI, featuring its latest version 5 update that is available for paid subscribers. In some of the images, he compared the previous Midjourney v4 and v5 to show the differences and developments of the technology, one that brings better content overall.

In different text prompts from St. Pierre, he was able to generate better images using the Midjourney, and it only shows how v5 is highly different and focused better on the details compared to the previous technology.

The images generated by the v5 show significant differences in the creations of Midjourney, one that is more accurate to real people and places, as well as details on the clothing, shots, and more.

Could AI Content Generation Beat Photography?

Seeing these AI-generated images may make one think that this is taken by a photographer, with real-life people as their subjects. But it is not.

Everything was made entirely using the Midjourney AI v5 and was directed entirely via text prompts by the content creator.

Interesting Engineering claimed that it may beat photography in many ways, including the development of each shot and production that may be done in seconds using generative AIs like Midjourney, OpenAI, and more.

Artificial Intelligence's Progression

Artificial intelligence was thought of to be years in its development and progress in their respective fields, but developments over the past months and years only show that it grew significantly, blowing out expectations along the way. One of the AI which showed significant promise is Midjourney, an American company that brought its advancements to content generation for the world.

A former mixed-martial artist by the name of Fallon Fox previously showcased her AI-generated images using the Midjourney AI that was still in beta, and what her prompt made was something that confused the world. The image shows a metal rock concert in the 1980s, and several images show Polaroid shots of the audience, for an event and people that do not exist, made entirely by the AI.

Generative AI development is out of this world, and Midjourney may only be one of the many companies that bring this kind of technology, but it certainly is one of the most advanced.

Creating realistic images is now possible with Midjourney, and it also focuses on the details of each medium, something that may beat photography and other forms of art in the process.
