Bandai Namco's "Tekken 8" is expected to arrive before 2023 ends or in 2024.

Although this new fighting game hasn't been released in the gaming market, it is already receiving many positive comments from gaming enthusiasts.

Bandai Namco General Manager Katsuhiro Harada recently announced that the new "Tekken 8" Closed Alpha will be featured at the EVO Japan 2023.

With all the hype it is getting from fans and gaming experts, is the upcoming "Tekken 8" really better than "Tekken 7"?

'Tekken 8' Review: Better Than 'Tekken 7'?

According to Games Radar's latest report, the new "Tekken 8" visuals are bathed in a kind of hyperrealism.

This means that its graphics are much better than "Tekken 7" and other action video games. Bandai Namco said that all the characters in the "Tekken 8" were remodeled from scratch.

The giant game developer even transitioned from Unreal Engine 4 to Unreal Engine 5 to enhance characters' visual effects.

Aside from enhanced graphics, here are other improvements you can expect from the upcoming "Tekken 8":

  • Combo controls were simplified, allowing more gamers, even newbies, to enjoy the new fighting game.
  •  The new Heat Engager mode has been added and the Rage Arts mode will return.
  •  Bandai Namco integrated the new Recoverable Gauge, a new system that allows you to recover health when blocking heavy or aerial combo attacks.
  • The story of "Tekken 8" will focus on Jin and his companions as they try to take down Kazuya.
  • Expect faster loading times on the latest PlayStation and Xbox platforms.

Recently, Bandai Namco announced the first character roster of the upcoming "Tekken 8." Here's the complete list you must see:

  • Jun Kazama
  • Kazuya Mishima
  • Paul Phoenix
  • Marshall Law

Aside from this, the game developer also shared its estimated release date. The upcoming "Tekken 8" is expected to be released in late 2023, as reported by PC Games

However, gaming enthusiasts claimed that a 2024 launch schedule would be a more realistic one. 

As of writing, details about this new fighting game are still scarce. But, you can expect more updates from Bandai Namco, especially since EVO Japan 2023 is just around the corner.
