It centers on the plot behind the famous fictional novel series by J.R.R. Tolkien, which has also been a significant franchise in the movies.
After a long wait since its announcement last year, the developers and publishers are now ready to debut their game to the public, centering on the famous story of The Lord of the Rings and Middle-earth.

Nick Reinhart, director of the upcoming game The Lord of the Rings: Heroes of Middle-earth, announced the confirmation of the game's release date, which is coming this May 10. The director confirmed this via EA, where he said that this will be a worldwide launch of the anticipated mobile game, with its pre-registration now open for the iOS and Android platforms via their respective app stores.
There is also a new gameplay launch trailer via IGN which details what to expect from the upcoming title that centers on a new ring to rule them all.
After a long wait since its announcement in 2022, gamers are now set to see the upcoming title from EA and Middle-earth Enterprise, to pick up on the series' favorite heroes, including its precious little Hobbits.

Heroes of Middle-earth is an upcoming free mobile role-playing game (RPG) that centers on another story that succeeds the original TLOTR franchise, as a new ring emerges after the famed "Ring of Power," was destroyed.
This is a turn-based strategy mobile game that centers on the return of favorite characters like Frodo, Gandalf, Aragorn, Samwise Gamgee, Legolas, and more.
Book-based plots and quests will also appear, alongside a PvP game mode, and other experiences coming to the game. Users may preregister for the game via EA's website.
'The Lord of the Rings Franchise
First off, The Lord of the Rings is a famous fictional novel and is considered a significant classic in the literature world, by the renowned English author J.R.R. Tolkien.
It has been adapted to several pop cultures developments like movies and games, with a significant franchise that captures the series' gritty and dark plot with the Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor game from 2014.
Moreover, the original film franchise of TLOTR saw a prequel to its story which focuses on the young Bilbo Baggins in The Hobbit, also adapted from the book of Tolkien and directed by Peter Jackson.
It is safe to say that even though the book is almost 70 years old and the last movie's trilogy will celebrate its 20th anniversary next year, the "The Lord of The Rings" franchise is still alive.
