Apple's lightweight contender for its famed laptop computer lineup, the MacBook Air, is allegedly getting a larger screen with as much as 15 inches of display that is currently under production for its upcoming delivery. The latest report centers on a new era for the MacBook Air 2023, with two display options and the latest M3 chip to power it.
The speculation behind the device centers on the refresh for this year, as it is known that Apple's MacBook lineup is getting an annual upgrade, also for its Pro version.

9to5 Mac shared a report regarding the latest information behind the 15-inch Apple MacBook Air 2023, an update to the famed laptop lineup from the company. The report claims that this development would feature a larger screen for the lightweight laptop from Cupertino, with the display's production already underway in time for its upcoming launch or announcement.
The report was from the renowned DSCC (Display Supply Chain Consultant) head, Ross Young, who claimed that Apple is ramping up its production in time for the first half of the year.
Moreover, the larger lightweight computer will feature two variants now, the 13-inch and 15-inch displays under the codename J513 and J515.

M3 Chips Coming for the MacBook 2023 Lineup
Apart from the new 15-inch display, the MacBook Air will also feature an upgraded Silicon-based chipset to come along with it, centering on the M3 to power the new computers. It has only been a year since the M2's announcement with the MacBook Air, and the company is already looking to deliver an upgraded 8-core CPU to power the laptops.

Additionally, there are plans to upgrade the 13-inch MacBook Pro with the M3.

Since Apple's release of the latest MacBook Pro powered by the M2, featuring the 14-inch and 16-inch displays from last year, powered by the M2 Pro and M2 Max chipsets, there are high expectations for the next generation this year. It also came with reports regarding an upgraded MacBook Air, with last year seeing it feature the M2 chip.
The famed Air version of the MacBook computer lineup was previously reported to have an upcoming 15-inch version to arrive this year, but no further details were announced during its early speculation dates. Since the MacBook Air remained with a 13-inch display for a long time now, users want the lightweight device with a larger screen while keeping the same build for it.
Apple is reportedly ramping up its production of the new displays in the latest information from a known source in the industry, centering on a new era of the MacBook Air computer. It is reportedly coming this early half of the year, either in a few weeks or by May for its announcement, featuring the larger screen and the new M3 chipset.
