PC Call of Duty gamers is having troubles with the current update, Season Three, prompting them to start a petition demanding developer Infinity Ward and publisher Activision to fix the issues, Eurogamer reports.

The issue, which predominantly affects players with AMD Vega GPUs and other Vega hardware, causes PC users trying to enter Modern Warfare 2 or Warzone 2.0 to crash nearly immediately.

Gamers Call on Fix to Call of Duty Issue

According to a petition, which has gathered support within the PC gaming community, hundreds of users have been unable to launch or play the game since the Season 3 update was launched on April 12. As of writing, the petition has 272 signatures.

Players have also raised support tickets with Activision without success. They have gone to social media platforms such as Reddit, Twitter, and the Steam Discussion Board to let out their displeasure.

One gamer even brought a cheese pizza to PC support firm Beenox with the inscription "Help Vega Please" scrawled on the box, expressing the frustration felt by some players who are unable to access the game for which they have paid.

Issues Currently Under Investigations

Although Infinity Ward has already acknowledged the issues and is currently investigating them, some players are calling for a fix to be implemented as soon as possible.

Call of Duty is a popular franchise, and many players have already put hundreds of hours into Modern Warfare 2 since its release in October 2022. The inability to play the game is not only frustrating but also a loss of time and money for these individuals.

GameRant reports that a report from Activision Blizzard has revealed that both Overwatch 2 and Call of Duty: Warzone 2 experienced a significant drop in player count in their first year.

These two titles were highly anticipated by gamers and were expected to be hugely successful, but the recent data adds a bit of drama to the company's plans.

Overwatch 2 was released in October last year and has already lost 18 million players, according to the financial report. Despite adding new content to keep players engaged, the game has experienced several issues, such as bugs, glitches, and matchmaking problems.

On the other hand, Call of Duty: Warzone 2 has also seen a decrease in player count. This game was released last year and lost around 8 million players in its first year. Despite the drop, Warzone 2 has remained popular among gamers and has received multiple updates and new content.
