Facebook Messenger is reportedly down for some users, DownDetector says in its report. The popular chatting app has encountered several outages for the past 24 hours based on the chart.

DownDetector has discovered that the number of problem reports for Facebook Messenger is higher than the past few days. Because of this, the platform is telling that more people might have been experiencing some glitches when using the messaging app.

According to DownDetector's page, 77% of the reported problems are all about sending messages. 16% of the complainants point out that they have a hard time receiving messages on Messenger. Meanwhile, only 7% of the problems suggest that the recent outage is an in-app issue.

As per Isitdownright.com, there are instances that the site is accessible, but you might encounter some problems such as the following.

Browser-related problems: If this happens, a full refresh will be brought up. You can do this by clicking the CTRL and F5 keys simultaneously. You can also clear the temporary cache of your browser to free up some space for the app.

DNS problems: If the problem lies on DNS problems, then it's definitely an issue to the end of your internet service provider or ISP. To fix this, make sure to clear the local DNS cache. If you're a Windows user, you can begin by tapping Start, then Command Prompt. Enter "ipconfig /flushdns."

Common Problems During Facebook Messenger Outage

Some users over Twitter and other social media platforms are complaining about the annoying instance when they can't access their Messenger app.

One person said that he already tried using any of his devices including an Android phone and a laptop. He even attempted to open Messenger on his PC, but the messages only kept on loading forever.

Another one wrote that Messenger was down for nearly an hour and Meta should immediately look for a solution as soon as possible.

Still, another commenter posted that she was not able to log in to her account despite reaching out to Facebook's support team.

While there are various solutions that people offer to the discussion threads about Facebook Messenger outage, it's important to be vigilant if these persons are just trying to scam money out of you.

One user said that people shouldn't listen to the bot messages which offer instant help on Telegram to fix the "not loading" issue.
