"The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom" is the latest addition to the beloved Zelda franchise, and fans cannot wait to get their hands on it.

Dexerto tells us that the game will be available for purchase at different times around the world. Fans in the UK and Europe can get their hands on the game from Friday, May 12, at 12:01 am BST and 12:01 am CEST, respectively.

North American fans on the East Coast will have access to the game at the same time, while those on the West Coast will be able to start playing three hours earlier, on Thursday, May 11, 2023, at 9 pm PDT. Meanwhile, fans in Japan will also be able to get their hands on the game from Friday, May 12, 2023, at 12:01 am JST.

The download size for Tears of the Kingdom is 16.3 GB, which may seem small compared to other AAA games.

However, this makes it the largest Zelda game to date. Players should also keep in mind that this size could increase if a day one patch is implemented.

How to Pre-load Tears of the Kingdom

Fortunately, players can pre-download Tears of the Kingdom to ensure they are ready to play as soon as it is released.

To do so, players need to head to the E-Shop's Features tab and locate the game's pre-order page. Once they have pre-ordered the game, they will be asked if they want to pre-load it.

Select yes, and the game will start pre-downloading. This process will save players a lot of time on release day, as they will not have to wait for the game to download before they can start playing.
