Mega Pinsir first came out in "Pokemon X and Y" mainline games in 2013 before arriving in "Pokemon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire" the following year. Now, the big brown bug is making a special entrance to Niantic's "Pokemon GO" this month as a Raid boss.

It's not easy to get this Pokemon, but you can take advantage of its weaknesses. From here, you can smoothly deal with Mega Pinsir and finally take it down so you can add it later to your team.

How to Catch Mega Pinsir in 'Pokemon GO'

There's no way that you can get Mega Pinsir in its mega evo form since you need to catch its base form first. Before anything else there are some things you should take note of before battling this ferocious beast.

Dexerto writes that there's a need for you to harvest Pinsir Mega Energy which is enough to temporarily Mega-Evolve Pinsir. Once you have already made rounds of raids, it's time to give it the best transformation it needs.

Once you Mega-Evolve Pinsir, there's no need to consume another Mega Energy in case you want to evolve it the second time around. All you need to do is to wait for the cooldown time before you jump to the process again.

Best Raid Counters for Mega Pinsir

Beating this quite overpowered Pokemon will require at least two trainers in the lineup. If you want to quickly defeat Mega Pinsir, you can invite three more players to join the raid fight.
