A new streaming platform is coming tomorrow, but it is not exactly a new one, but is part of the platform's rebrand, with Max appearing on the app stores or web browsers to bring a new kind of entertainment. This is formerly the HBO Max app which is owned by Warner Bros. Discovery Inc., and this rebrand is also part of the company's merger.

New opportunities await those who are subscribed to Max, soon to offer more content and opportunities for those who are looking to enjoy what the former HBO Max and its new and improved content will be.

Max is Coming Tomorrow, the Rebrand of HBO Max's Platform

As per the support page from the new streaming platform, HBO Max and Discovery+'s rebrand is coming this Tuesday, May 23, with the migration either being automatic for some users, but others would have to download it from the app stores.

Max is coming, and while it is not an important person, it is the new and improved streaming platform from Warner Bros. Discovery which will bring one's favorite apps or platforms to the world. HBO Max will no longer operate on its own, as it is joined by Discovery+'s offers to bring to the public.

This change was nearly a year in the making, and the company fulfills its set date and time for this, right at the cusp of Summer 2023.

Pre-Register Now or Wait for the Automatic Download

The platform said that for Amazon, Cox, Roku, Vizio TV, and Xfinity, Max would automatically update and change to its new name.

However, for Android, iOS, Apple TV, DIRECTV, LG TV, PlayStation, Samsung TV, and Xbox, users may have to open the old HBO Max app and see a prompt to download the new app.

Users may also opt for the pre-registration for the mobile apps including the Android platform, and the iOS to automatically download Max on their devices. The subscriptions will carry over their plan and details via their existing HBO Max accounts.

Max is available starting at $9.99 monthly with ads, $15.99 monthly without ads for its standard, ad-free plan, and as much as $19.99 monthly for the 4K quality.

HBO Max's Rebrand and Warner Discovery Merger

Back in the second half of 2022, it was announced by the newly appointed CEO David Zaslav that Warner Bros. and Discovery, Inc. are set to merge into one entity, now known as Warner Bros. Discovery. One of the biggest changes coming here is the fusion of both media platforms' streaming apps, HBO Max and Discovery+ into one.

As many as 36 shows were removed from HBO Max for its preparation to merge the two streaming apps, and soon, it was declared that it would feature new content coming soon.

The new content may be coming shortly, but the streaming platform is here, with Max coming by Tuesday, May 23, to offer its services to the world.
