The Pokémon phenomenon continues to shatter records and capture fans' interests worldwide, cementing its status as a gaming juggernaut.

In a recent update to its website, The Pokémon Company revealed that the shipment of Pokémon software has skyrocketed to an astonishing 480 million units as of March 2023.

'Pokémon Scarlet and Violet'

That is a mind-boggling surge of 40 million units compared to the previous year, and NintendoLife tells us that the driving force behind this remarkable growth can be traced to the spectacular success of the franchise's latest mainline entries: Pokémon Scarlet and Violet.

This powerhouse of a title has achieved nothing short of incredible sales figures, with a whopping 10 million copies flying off the shelves within the first three days of their release.

But that is not all they have also reached a jaw-dropping milestone of 20 million copies sold in just six short weeks. It is crystal clear that the Pokémon franchise continues to capture the imagination of both loyal enthusiasts and fresh-faced newcomers.

But fear not, intrepid trainers, for the dedicated development team has pledged to right these wrongs by releasing a major DLC expansion called 'The Hidden Treasure of Area Zero' later this year.
