The gaming giant unveiled its offering of new games for the SNES, NES, and Game Boy in the latest tweet from the company. Nintendo Switch Online aims to provide Switch owners with a nostalgic trip down memory lane, allowing them to enjoy retro games on their modern gaming console.

The SNES collection introduces the beloved classic "Harvest Moon," where players can relive the experience of managing a farm, cultivating crops, and building relationships in a charming virtual world.

On the other hand, the Nintendo Entertainment System (NES) collection is set to expand by including "Mystery Tower." This puzzle game offers players a unique experience as they navigate through a tower filled with traps, obstacles, and challenging puzzles.

Lastly, the Game Boy collection will see the addition of two titles: "Blaster Master: Enemy Below," which brings an action-packed adventure where players navigate through side-scrolling levels, battling enemies and upgrading their arsenal, and "Kirby Tilt 'n' Tumble" that offers a unique gaming experience where players tilt the console itself to control Kirby's movements, no longer needing the original cartridge with the gyroscope sensor.

Is Getting the Nintendo Switch Online and Expansion Pack Worth It?

With Nintendo's Switch Online subscription expanding the titles offered at a regular pace, it is one worthy service to subscribe to if one is a fan of retro games and exclusive offers from the company.

Gamers could either opt for the Nintendo Switch Online alone, which already offers the NES, SNES, and Game Boy retro games for $19.99 for the Individual Plan or $34.99 for the Family Plan, both in annual pricing.

On the other hand, the expanded "Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack" offers three retro consoles including the Nintendo 64 games, Game Boy Advance games, SEGA Genesis games, and more expansion packs for modern titles. It is available for $49.99 for the Individual and $79.99 per year for the Family tier.

Nintendo Switch Online's Retro Gaming

Nintendo's famed subscription service has been packed with many retro gaming experiences since its first introduction in 2018, first leveraging the original Mario games for gamers.

However, the platform expanded more in recent years with more past-gen console offers like the Nintendo 64 and the SEGA Genesis.

With its massive expansion and regular addition of games, Nintendo's Switch Online and Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack is one of the best hubs for retro gaming, where gamers may anticipate more games to arrive in its library, for all the throwback experiences to past favorite titles.
