Sony has long been known for giving discounts to customers who want to buy some of its most high-tech devices, including the Sony X90K 4K TV. This massive 85-inch TV is now on sale, with a price slash of over $1,000. After initially being priced at nearly $3,000, it can now be bought at $1,599.

Sony X90K 4K TV Price Drops to Just $1,599

According to IGN, the initial price of the 2022 Sony Bravia XR X90K 4K TV was $2,798, but now because of a 43% discount, its price dropped, making it more affordable.

This deal was reportedly spotted on Woot, which placed the 85-inch Sony Bravia XR X90K 4K TV price at just $1,599. So far, it has managed to get 767 ratings on Amazon, mostly positive.

Woot was still reportedly owned by Amazon. While it is not directly promoted as a Father's Day sale, buyers can still purchase this gadget as a gift for dad since it comes around the time of the celebration.

Sony Device Comes With a Year Warranty

As IGN also reported, the deal comes with a full year of warranty by Sony. It was also said that the TV could support PS5 or Xbox Series X consoles.

The IGN highlighted some of the selling points of the TV, including how it was excellent for 4K HDR content and ran on a 120Hz panel with two HDMI 2.1 ports. That made it perfect for either the PS5 or Xbox Series X consoles.

Sony X90K 4K TV Is Optimized for Console Gaming

The Sony X90K 4K TV also comes with variable refresh rate support, the company's version of adaptive sync technology. It means that users will get automatic switches to lower latency whenever they are playing a game.

That allows players to remain uninterrupted with whatever they are doing, no matter how hardcore the graphics might be. When it comes to using it on video game consoles, this Sony TV has a feature that specifically caters to PS5 consoles.

PS5 Users Will Get Access to the Auto HDR Tone Mapping Feature

The feature for PS5 consoles is known as Auto HDR Tone Mapping. Sony explained that it is similar to HGiG or Dolby Vision.

This feature lets the users of PS5 recognize the TV model and allows owners to optimize its HDR settings to match the TV.

This is an added bonus for gamers that prefer a more customized gameplay and approach to their console gaming. Since the feature is exclusive to PS5 consoles, Xbox Series X users cannot use the Auto HDR Tone Mapping feature.

According to Sony, the Auto HDR Tone Mapping instantly optimizes HDR settings during the PS5 initial setup. Users can see fine details and true colors even in dark shadows and bright highlights.
