PlayStation Plus Essential subscribers will get a new batch of free games from July 4 to July 31. Subscribers of this plan can claim the games within the timeline, but once it expires, the game will return to its premium price.

PlayStation Plus Essential Listed Three Titles for Free This July

PlayStation has recently confirmed the lineup for PS Plus Essential, and most of the games follow a previous leak that includes titles like "Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War." As of press time, confirmation has been given on which games the subscribers of this plan can get for free, and it includes three great titles.

According to Game Spot, one of the major games that will be free for PlayStation Plus Essential subscribers this month is "Alan Wake Remastered." This comes ahead of its sequel, "Alan Wake II," which is expected to be launched on October 17.

'Alan Wake Remastered' Stays True to the Game's Horror Elements for PlayStation 5 and 4 Players

"Alan Wake II" will be available on PlayStation, PC, and Xbox. It was reported that those who wanted to play the game's original version can check out the 2021 remaster, which comes with improved graphics.

It was reported that this action-adventure game follows the search of the eponymous thriller novelist for his missing wife while on vacation in a place described as a "curious little town."

The original game reportedly dabbles with horror, but the remaster enhances these horror elements on the PS5 and PS4 versions of "Alan Wake."

Players Can Also Try 'Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War' Which Brings Them Back to the 1980s Setting

Aside from the "Alan Wake Remastered," PlayStation Plus Essential game lineup for July also include the "Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War."

This specific "Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War" title was reported as the 2020 entry in the first-person shooter franchise. It is the latest iteration of the Black Ops sub-series from Raven Software and Treyarch.

Its campaign brings players to a 1980s setting, with visuals, weaponry, and certain game mechanics being true to that era. According to Game Spot, the freebie will be the Cross-Gen bundle. Thus, the PS5 and PS4 versions are included.
