The fight you have all been waiting for is here, but it is not the cage match between Elon Musk and Mark Zuckerberg, but Twitter vs. Threads, as the blue bird social media is now warning about an upcoming lawsuit against Meta. It is all because Meta is hiring former employees of Twitter, particularly those which Musk fired or laid off earlier.
Musk previously said that he regret the layoffs during his early operations at Twitter, but this was inevitable as the company needs to save money by reducing its workforce, as it was then on the brink of bankruptcy.
Twitter is Now Warning Meta for Hiring Ex-Twitter Employees

Semafor reported that early on Threads' operations as a new app in the market, it already got a warning from Twitter, as it threatens to sue the company for hiring previous employees that were fired by the Musk administration.
Twitter's lawyer Alex Spiro addressed a letter to Mark Zuckerberg regarding his new app under the Meta group, throwing accusations against the Meta CEO for their "systematic, willful, and unlawful misappropriation of Twitter's trade secrets and other intellectual property."
Spiro is now asking Meta not to use any intellectual properties of Twitter via the trade secrets they obtain from the former Twitter employees that were terminated from their posts. Twitter would not hesitate to file a lawsuit against them should they use any insider information from the hired former Twitter people.

Threads vs. Twitter: Is Meta Cheating on Its New App?
That being said, the Twitter owner is now saying his side on social media, reacting to the latest news about this letter to Meta.
In Musk's own words, he said that "Competition is fine, cheating is not," mainly about the newly-established Threads and Meta's move to hire ex-Twitter employees.
For now, it is unknown if Meta used any trade secrets obtained by workers for their development of Threads, but this warning is ready for the next step should it discover any Twitter traces on the new app.
Elon Musk, Twitter Layoffs, and Threads
Elon Musk joined Twitter as its CEO and owner back in October 2022, and a lot has happened since then, with the billionaire changing a lot on the social media's operations and causing people to look for alternatives.
However, that was not the end of it, as Twitter also joined the series of layoffs in the global industry, with Musk firing many employees and whole departments at the social media company.
Now, there is a new threat on the rise, and a version of Meta's take on the text-based social media app is now here for all to enjoy, originally promised for July 6 but went earlier for all to use. Since then, Threads is growing, and it only shows how people are still on the search for Twitter alternatives despite it being under Meta, notoriously known for its massive data access.
Meta's new Threads did not only "copy" Twitter for its main features, but hired ex-employees of the short-word social media to join the team for developing the new app. Despite Musk telling these people before to take their genius elsewhere, the company is now claiming that Meta is cheating, especially as some may bring trade secrets and insider information about Twitter, for Threads to use.
